Snow capped mountains and green pastures

We travelled through such diverse scenery following the famous TransAlpine Train line, stopping at Arthur’s Pass for a coffee break.

 This mountain appears to have had a modern haircut.

A shelter has been built over the road to protect the road and those who travel on it from further ‘slips’.  Also a man made channel for the waterfall.
